However, you could just as easily draw out simple pictures at home. The important thing is to talk about what is happening 'now' and 'next' with your child, and encouraging them to cross out or remove a picture once the activity is completed.
Using visual timetables can help with understanding the passing of time, developing the ability to wait for preferred activities and helping children to feel calm and secure.
