Closing the Disadvantaged Gap - A research project

At Hertford Heath, we have been lucky enough to be invited to join a research project, run through Herts for Learning, Sandringham School and current advisor to the Department of Education, Marc Rowland. This project commenced in September 2021 and will run throughout this academic year. Marc Rowland is an expert on the effective use of the Pupil Premium Grant, closing the gap and improving outcomes for disadvantaged learners and we are very fortunate that he will be making termly visits to Hertford Heath. 

The strategic planning of the project will be led in school by the headteacher, deputy headteacher/SENCO and Mrs Awad, our PPG link Governor. It will then be rolled out to staff to put strategies in place to close the gap and see an improvement in the outcomes for these children.
