PTA

The PTA is run by parents at the school, who volunteer their time and expertise.  We currently have a committee of 8, with a large group of other parents supporting in the running of events. Mrs Bode is the current Chair of the PTA and Mrs Marsh is the Treasurer. 

 

The PTA raises money through putting on a range of events, which is then used to the benefit of all the pupils in the school.  Many PTA events are keenly awaited by the children as highlights of the year, not only for the School Community, but also for the village. Our ideas and fundraising ideas have had to take a new direction since Covid, but the PTA remains active and regularly meet with the Head. Funds raised go towards subsidising coach travel for class trips, and each class teacher receives a small sum each year to purchase items for their classroom.

 

Other funds are used to support larger projects – in recent years the PTA has funded the Zen Den, the school chicken coup, an Outdoor Classroom (Gazebo), Storytelling chair & amphitheatre, the KS2 outdoor play equipment, a new PA system, stage for school performances and stage lighting.

A payment option has been set up on School Gateway for Friday’s upcoming Make the Rules event.

 

Please note children can choose up to 4 rules and payment must be made online as the school cannot accept cash payments.    The flyer above gives an idea of the new rules that can be made this Friday.

CHRISTMAS PAINTING ON POTTERY DAY - 1st DECMEBER 2020

We are really pleased to let you know that we have been successful in organising a safe PTA fundraising activity.

 

On Tuesday 1st December from 3.15pm to 4.15pm the children who wish to take part will be able to decorate their own Christmas Decoration which will then be glazed and returned to them.

 

The cost for each decoration is £6 and the children will have up to an hour to paint their decoration(s).  The activity will take place in their classrooms.

 

We are asking parents to ensure the forms are returned by email to the PTA : ptahertfordheath@outlook.com by the deadline of Friday 6th November (just after the half-term break).

 

Payment can be made via the School Gateway / Schoolcomms app.
