The Colour Monster

We have had so much fun with the Colour Monster topic. We have written some wonderful sentences and learnt an adapted version of the story off by heart using actions! We have worked together to create a great display to showcase our writing and art work. As a team we had to sort all different art resources by colour to help create our wonderful display. We then made a variety of monsters using, pom-poms, sticks, buttons, wool and tissue paper. We discussed the colours of our monsters and how they must be feeling.

During Continuous Provision, some children chose to paint the Colour Monster, make the monster out of playdough, mix different soaps to create emotions and also create houses for the monster.

In class, we have a check in of emotions on our wall which we can use if we feel upset, happy, calm, scared or angry.
