Homework

Homework will be given out every Friday and must be returned every Wednesday.  On Fridays there will be a spelling test.

Reading:

We complete a 'Five Reads Challenge', which is displayed in our classroom, where the children take more ownership over their reading and complete at least five reads in a week. Please aim to read alongside your child every day between 10 - 20 minutes. Record in their reading record each time you read (a simple comment such as read to page: x,  is fine). 'Five Reads' will be checked every Friday. Read theory homework can class as part of your five reads.

General:

Homework in Year 3 will be uploaded onto Google Classroom by the class teacher with an explanation of the task.  Tasks will be differentiated.

Homework tasks that are set will vary between the following platforms:

• Read theory ( https://readtheory.org )

Some tasks may be more project based and can be presented more creatively. These tasks will be explained in further detail when uploaded to Google Classroom.

Login details will be provided within the first couple of weeks of starting the academic year however, if your child loses this information then please inform the class teacher for replacements.

All access to online platforms used in school from home will be via the magic band QR codes which your child will be provided with.
