Computing – Purple Mash

Purple Mash supports Year 2 online safety through age-appropriate content covering:

Understanding what personal information is and why it should be kept private
Knowing that some information should not be shared online without permission
Understanding that people online may not always be who they say they are
Recognising safe and unsafe online behaviour
Knowing how to respond if something online makes them feel worried, upset or uncomfortable
Understanding how to ask a trusted adult for help with online concerns
Using technology responsibly and respectfully
Understanding that online content can be saved, shared and seen by others

PSHE – Coram Life: SCARF

SCARF supports Year 2 online safety through age-appropriate themes within units including “Keeping Myself Safe” and “Rights and Respect.” Topics include:

Identifying personal information and understanding why it should be kept private
Recognising situations that may make them feel unsafe, worried or uncomfortable
Understanding the difference between safe and unsafe secrets
Knowing how to say “no” and seek help when something does not feel right
Identifying trusted adults who can help them if they experience a problem online
Understanding that their actions can affect others when using technology
Developing respectful and responsible behaviour when communicating and using digital devices
Knowing that they should tell a trusted adult if they see or receive something online that worries them
