Summer Week 2

This term's Science topic is all about plants. Normally, the children would have a range of activities outside from making their own small world gardens in containers, planting sunflowers outside and beans in plastic bags inside, to going on flower hunts and researching leaves on trees. They also drew and labelled plants and kept a diary of their plant growth. This is a lovely topic to teach and I'm sad to miss out on it!

I have included some plant hunting sheets as well as some powerpoints to help teach the science of plants. If you have any seeds about, let the children plant them and record what happens at each stage. Making small world gardens was also great fun and definitely recommended.  Have fun and stay safe - and of course send me pictures if you can!    Miss Pennington : )
