Violent Volcanoes

Chemical Reaction

Each child in class 6 has completed a project which they have presented to the class. We all enjoyed this presentation on volcanoes especially when some vinegar was added to bicarbonate of soda to cause an exciting eruption.

Indian Wall Hanging

A visiting Textiles Teacher.

Miss Kennedy visited us from Simon Balle School and told us all about the wall hangings she had seen in India. She then showed us the different techniques used. We worked in teams and produced this magnificent piece of work. We are really grateful to Miss Kennedy for giving up your time.

Helping Haiti

Our Cake Sale.

Everybody at Hertford Heath was keen to do something to help the victims of the Haiti earthquake. Year Six organised a cake sale and raised nearly £200. Lots of parents and children made cakes which were sold at break and lunch time. There were so many left over that we even sold some to parents at the end of school!

Guess Who?

Greek Theatre

As part of out Ancient Greek Topic we made masks. The Ancient Greeks wore masks like ours when they were acting. We used a balloon and covered half of it in papier mache to make the face. When they were dry we popped the balloons and painted our masks. Aren't they fantastic?
